Municipio de Chihuahua wanted to implement a robust IT infrastructure to integrate up-to-date business information and achieve visibility and operating transparency throughout the organization and create a robust database to share information among offices in the municipality and with other local government offices, avoiding reprocessing, duplication, and loss of citizen data. The challenge was to create a self-service Web site to enable citizens to carry out transactions such as registering a business or looking up and paying property taxes online. Municipio de Chihuahua worked with Oracle Partner TGC Mexico to implement Oracle E-Business Suite to integrate information from the municipality's offices and improve communication internally and with 13 other local offices.
