The New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development (MED) is made up of many branches and departments, each with its own unique goals, processes, and datasets. In an effort to manage data more effectively and efficiently, workgroup managers requested a number of new business applications from IT. Among the main requirements were solutions that help them record, manage, track, and report upon data while leveraging automated workflows and meeting legislative requirements. To quickly develop and deliver new custom applications, IT managers decided to take advantage of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which the MED was already using. The new applications incorporate workflow automation, in addition to a modern user interface, to enhance the user experience and to help employees work more efficiently.
