Executive Summary

The National Institute for the Social Security of the Self-Employed (NISSE) is an autonomous institution that works in collaboration with the Belgian government, following a framework of options agreed at a political level. The NISSE aimed to serve their customers faster and provide accurate information about the status of pension calculations. CSC helped them in designing a completely new application based on a workflow engine. The 'Unique customer file concept' is at the heart of the newly designed processes.
