The Omnicell field sales force works directly with clinicians inside hospitals and other care settings, where they are sometimes unable to connect to the Internet for extended periods of time. Omnicell needed to standardize how its field sales force captured customer data. It implemented Duet Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP and extended the solution through an application that lets employees use tools in Microsoft Outlook to create records in its enterprise SAP CRM system. Now that it is able to capture customer information in a centralized system, Omnicell is better equipped to build precise, effective marketing campaigns.
