The client is a $50 billion Fortune 100 company, providing drug distribution and related services to pharmaceutical manufacturers and healthcare providers. The client had multiple ERP systems such as Baan and SAP implemented at various sites, with each site having its own EDI (Electronic Data Interface) mapping format. Due to different mapping formats, the maintenance and deployment of EDI messages was time consuming and expensive. After carrying out a meticulous overall assessment of the sites, Patni put in place a standard process map. To ensure smooth rollout and cause minimum disruption to the existing processes, Patni executed the project in a phased approach. All three phases were executed in an orchestrated manner resulting in zero time delays or cost overruns.
