Raines Court, London

Raines Court in London, apart from being a consummate piece of urban fabric design is also a test bed for a 'grown up' modular architecture, think Meccano, not Lego. This has prompted the architects, Allford, Hall, Moneghan, and Morris (AHMM) to adopt a T-shaped building that ranges in height up to six storey. In order to maximize the benefit from modular construction techniques the size of the module used was pushed to the upper limits of the technology.
