King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is the national science agency and national laboratories of Saudi Arabia. To manage account information, KACST had relied on its IT staff. However, this resulted in a lack of synchronization across the organization's HR system and Active Directory service. To free its IT staff from data entry and enable HR staff to manage account information, KACST engaged Microsoft Services and took part in an Identity Lifecycle Management engagement. Through this engagement, KACST worked with Microsoft Services to automate changes to user accounts directly through the HR system and an employee self-service portal. Now, the organization has reduced account-processing time from as many as seven days to only 24 hours or less.
