Server Consolidation With Virtualization Technology Reduces TCO by Over 50%
Based in Nishibiwajima-cho a suburb of Nagoya, Ichibanya launched its first specialty quick-service curry restaurant in 1978. Since then the company has steadily grown under its proven "Curry House CoCo Ichibanya" brand name. Ichibanya needed to renew the company's aging servers without reconfiguring the system and they also wanted to improve resource utilization and reduce server management costs. To master these challenges Ichibanya chose Fujitsu. Ichibanya Company Limited accomplished their server consolidation using Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX300 rack-mounted servers, VMware HA and a SAN-connected ETERNUS 4000 storage device for improved IT efficiency. The new consolidated system provides a range of dramatic IT improvements. TCO was reduced by over 50% while system availability and stability was assured by redundancy and minimum downtime.
