Executive Summary

MediaMarket S.p.A is the Italian subsidiary of Media Markt, Europe's number one retailer of consumer electronics. As one of the fastest growing organisations in the retail sector, MediaMarket's expansion meant that the number of its in-store printing devices were increasing rapidly to meet business needs. The primary objective MediaMarket Italy wanted to achieve was to keep cost down while maintaining consistent service levels across the group. To master these needs MediaMarket chose Lexmark International. Lexmark completed assessments of some of the main store layouts, and then determined an optimal and standardised device configuration to roll out across the business. MediaMarket deployed Lexmark's Cartridge Collection Programme. Empty cartridges are collected by a partner company and sent back to Lexmark for recycling.
