The State of Kansas wanted to manage budget limitations by maximizing operational efficiency and getting the most from existing applications and deliver detailed data quickly to fulfill requests from the legislature, press, and public. The challenge was to support position in the global economy, as employees work worldwide for state higher education institutions. The State of Kansas implemented PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management to automate human resources processes and create operational efficiencies across the employee lifecycle and replaced a manual recruiting process, which required the state to maintain eligibility lists and contact employees when positions became available, with a self-assessment system.
