Euskaltel, the leading telecommunications service provider in the Basque Country of Spain, wanted to offer its residential consumers improved communication and information sharing. Its existing email messaging restricted non-business users to mailboxes with a 10-megabyte limit. Euskaltel chose the Windows Live Service Provider Programme, offering a co-branded version of the Windows Live network of Internet services as a single solution on mobile devices, computers, and TV. It includes Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live SkyDrive, Windows Live Mail, Photo Gallery, and Movie Maker. The company worked closely with Implement.com, an expert in email migration. Euskaltel started migrating users only two months after the start of the implementation.
