Executive Summary

Tennis Australia is the governing body for all amateur and professional tennis competitions within Australia. Tennis Australia was facing a major challenge in 2007 due to the fluctuating demands on their network. To accommodate this influx of people, and ensure the seamless execution of the event, Tennis Australia needed to be confident that its communications systems were robust and scalable enough to keep up with the heavy demand. Nortel Communications Server 1000 (CS 1000) was installed to provide a highly scalable core communications system for the Melbourne Park site. Capable of supporting tens of thousands of extensions, the CS 1000 offered more than enough headroom to service the influx of users during the Australian Open season.
