Instituto del Cafe de Costa Rica (ICAFE) wanted to integrate and standardize information in a robust database to facilitate access to up-to-date information. The challenge was to create a Web environment to improve online inquiry and communications services among coffee producers, processors, exporters and roasters as well as improve and standardize the processes for messaging, mail, and coordinating agendas to improve internal communication. ICAFE worked with Oracle partner Trango Consultores TC S.A. to implement a flexible and scalable IT infrastructure with up-to-date, easy-to-manage applications as well as implemented Oracle Database Standard Edition, integrating information in a single database and providing reliable access to real-time information.
