UK Success Story: ARM Says EU Funding to Thank for Much of Its Early Ground Breaking Research
The UK Government is keen to get more organisations involved in European based collaborative research and to take advantage of the 1.455 Billion Euros available, for ICT alone, from the Commission. To that effect, the ICT KTN spoke to four very different ICT businesses making the case for collaboration as an engine for innovation and commercial success. Microsemi is a SME based in south Wales, specialising in tech miniaturisations such camera pills. Its Business and Technology Development Manager, Martin McHugh, has nothing but respect for FP7: he believes that European funding allowed the business to transition from analogue wired to cutting edge medical devices in a short period of time.
