Westpac NZ Limited Case Study
Westpac customers once had to make do with poor-quality reproductions when they needed additional copies of bank statements. EDS worked with the bank to develop new statement-generating technology that is increasing customer satisfaction. EDS helped develop an innovative solution based on computer output to laser disc (COLD) technology. Now, transaction data is retrieved directly from the bank's mainframe, then compressed and stored on CD-ROM, from which individual customer statements could be retrieved quickly and easily. The new system customizes the output to produce an accurate, clearly branded readable document.
