Xerox Global Services - a division of document outsourcing and business services leader Xerox - offers solutions that include business applications for customers. Its database development team faced an increasing volume of work and requests for faster delivery. However, manual processes hindered agility. To improve its workflow, Xerox implemented Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010. Now, it manages requirements more efficiently and expects to reduce rework time as a result. By automating development processes, Xerox can decrease the time spent on database builds from 40 hours to 8 hours a week and has reduced database deployment time from 20 hours to 4 hours - a savings of 80 percent for both builds and deployment.
