When electronically stored information (ESI) is subject to discovery, it is referred to as e-discovery, and it must be located, secured, and searched for use as evidence in a trial.

In August 2008, we conducted a Web-based survey of 711 TechRepublic members to better understand how companies are supporting e-discovery. Here are the survey results.
