Improving the Health of Insurance Processing to Increase Competitive Advantage
PruHealth recently won a BPM Focus Gold Award for a solution that has increased the company's IT agility, customer centricity, and processing efficiency. The implementation was aimed at managing and improving the 100+ interactions between processes like on-boarding new customers and claims resolution that involved partner organizations. Using a 6 Sigma approach and TIBCO BPM software on an SOA foundation, the company achieved ROI within the first year and end-to-end process improvements. PruHealth was able to accommodate an increase of 67% in insured lives with minimal increase in headcount. Notably, PruHealth automated both internal and external (partner) processes to achieve process improvements.
