2003-2004 Corporate Report

The consumer technology industry saw 2003 sales soar to $96 billion, an increase of two percent over the previous year. These numbers confirm that the industry provides products that consumers want in order to communicate, educate, entertain and keep themselves connected. Today these products are mostly digital, the ones and zeroes of computer code, to create devices that are ever more powerful, deliver better pictures, create phenomenal sound and can be taken just about anywhere. 2004 marks the 50th anniversary of color TV in the U.S. It also it is a significant milestone in the transition to digital TV (DTV).
