The advertising campaign, which ended, was intended to be a humorous use of hyperbole to depict how many people feel when they have a car or truck that is unreliable and no longer fits their needs. It was not intended to suggest any particular course of action on the part of viewers, other than to consider purchasing a new Toyota. In order to be entertaining, advertising must utilize fantasy, drama or humor to make a point, get attention and leave an impression.
