In this paper, the Symbol Error Rate (SER) performance for OSTBC-OFDM systems over Nakagami-m fading channels is analyzed. Accordingly, a novel generalized closed-form SER expression is proposed. In order to derive the closed-form SER expressions, the authors incorporate hypergeometric functions into the conventional Probability Density Function (PDF) approach. At the mean time, the proposed exact closed-form SER expression is a generalized solution, since it perfectly describes OSTBC-OFDM systems using QAM modulation schemes that having different antenna configurations and experiencing various fading conditions.
