Executive Summary

Ad Hoc mobile Network (AHNs) may include a plurality of mobile nodes each including a wireless communications device with limited communication resources. Achieving QoS (Quality of Service) in AHNs has been an important research topic in the last years. Hence, the authors are interested in this paper by the proposition of a global architecture for the offer of a QoS model for AHNs users. The proposition is based on traffic classification and requires metrics definition allowing the expression of the QoS requirements in order to provide differentiated treatment according to traffic classes.
