A Multi-Level Hierarchical Game-Theoretical Approach for Cognitive Networks
Over the past decade, more and more research works have been devoted to study decentralized or distributed wireless networks. There are many relevant concepts such as cognitive radio, unlicensed bands, ad hoc networks, scalable resource allocation and control policies, which play an important role in this development. In this paper, the problem of distributed power control is studied. The network is said to be distributed because each transmitter can choose freely his power control policy. As communications are mutually interfered at the receiver side and transmitters are free to decide their strategies, a natural analytical method is to model such a situation as a game problem.
