A ring mesh is a rectangular array of processors with one way wrap around. A new algorithm is presented to recognize a ring mesh. A program was written to determine if the new ring mesh recognition algorithm is valid. The program was written in C and tested using a representation of a network's nodes and their neighbors. The program tests several ring meshes of different dimensions and different ring mesh-like structures. The program found the ring meshes and rejected the non-ring meshes on the test data. The algorithm presented here is fairly simple and straightforward.
