A New Approach for Equalization & Minimization of Latency in Interactive Network

Multiparty interactive network applications such as teleconferencing, network gaming, and online trading are gaining popularity. In addition to end-to-end latency bounds, these applications require that the delay difference among multiple clients of the service is minimized for a good interactive experience. In this paper, the authors consider the deployment of LEQ architecture on today's Internet, provide hub selection algorithms for different network settings, and present a complete simulation and evaluation of LEQ in various scenarios (e.g., with access network delay, multiple administrative domains).
