A novel compact CPW-fed printed dipole antenna is proposed for dual-band Ultra wide band (UHF) RFID and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) operations. This antenna consist of two dipole elements and it covers 2.53 GHz Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID and 5.2 GHZ WLAN IEEE 802.11 Standards. The return loss, radiation pattern, field pattern, linear and circular polarization components are simulated for this proposed antenna and it has simple design, compact size and exhibits broadband impedance matching characteristics. Some parametric studies of the geometric and radiation characteristic of the proposed antenna will explored with in further discussion to provide inside antenna view of antenna design.
