A Novel Distributed Precoding Scheme Based on THP for Downlink Multi-Cell Multi-User OFDMA Wireless Systems

In this paper, a distributed precoding scheme based on Tomlinson-Harashima Precoding (THP) is proposed for downlink multi-cell multi-user Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) wireless systems. In the proposed scheme, relying on the local Channel State Information (CSI), each Base Station (BS) designs one forward precoder and one feedback filter per user group for the transmission from itself to corresponding user group. Here, each forward precoder is adopted to mitigate the Inter-Cell Interference (ICI), and each feedback filter is employed to perform the pre-subtraction of Inter-User Interference (IUI) within the corresponding user group.
