A Novel PSO-Based Algorithm for the Optimal Location of Controllers in Wireless Networks
The optimal location of controllers in wireless networks is an important problem in the process of designing cellular mobile networks. In this paper, the authors present a novel algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for solving it. Their objective function is determined by the total distance based on finding maximum flow in a transport network using Ford-Fulkerson algorithm satisfies capacity constraints. The experimental results show that their proposed algorithm has achieved much better performance than previous heuristic algorithms.
