A QoS Aware Robust Multipath Routing Protocol for Wireless Mesh Networks
For supporting real time communications like audio and video, QoS provisioning is very much essential. The goal of the routing protocol is to provide a QoS constrained route from source to destination. In this paper, the authors propose a QoS aware robust multipath routing protocol for wireless mesh networks. This establishes a multiple disjoint paths for a source-destination pair. For initial time interval, a set of probe packets are transmitted to the destination by the source simultaneously along all the paths. On receiving these probe packets, the destination will estimate the cumulative transmission energy, bandwidth and average delay for each path and send a feedback report to the source.
