A Redundancy Information Protocol for P2P Networks in Ubiquitous Computing Environments: Design and Implementation
The ubiquitous computing vision brings high computational and communication demands. In this paper, the authors propose a high availability protocol for information replication in ubiquitous computing environments. Running at the application layer, on top of a P2P overlay network based on JXTA, the protocol allows the transfer of multimedia contents automatically generated by multimedia capture systems. They formalize the characteristics of the protocol and present its design rules and procedures. The concept of ubiquitous computing has been widely used now-a-days. In particular, automated systems that allow the capture of live experiences are a recurring research theme.
