A Secure Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc Networks
How to prevent the routes from attacks by malicious nodes is a main topic of secure communications in mobile Ad hoc networks. A Secure and Efficient Routing Protocol (SERP) is proposed in this paper. A shared session key, which is set up based on two nodes' identities, is used to encrypt routing messages between these two nodes. Thus, the malicious nodes cannot get any useful routing information. The authors compare SERP with other existed secure routing protocols. The analysis results and simulations show that the proposed protocol can effectively restrain the malicious routing behaviors.
