Executive Summary

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are becoming very attractive for both telecommunication and network industry. WSNs are a most challenging and emerging technology for the research due to their vital scope in the field coupled with their low processing power and associated low energy. Today Wireless Sensor Networks are broadly used in environmental control, surveillance tasks, monitoring, tracking and controlling etc. The Wireless Sensor Network is based on broadcasting technology which exists in open field; to speed up, it needs very secure communication. This paper deals with the survey of security issues in the Wireless Sensor Networks with network design issues, network services and mechanisms. It provides an understanding of WSN technology.
