Broadcast channels have been studied intensively, due to their role in communication networks. The basic definitions of this model, with a survey of important contributions, can be found in. In this paper, the authors study coding for the general broadcast channel, controlled by random parameters, where the parameters are provided to the encoder only, in a non-causal manner. They give an achievable region which is an extension of the Marton region to the current model. The region they derive is shown to be tight for the Gaussian broadcast channel with additive interference at the two channels.
