The author conducted nine in-depth interviews with current Riverbed Cascade customers in order to obtain qualitative information about the end-user experience since deploying the network and application visibility solution, and obtain quantifiable data specific to each customer. The information and data gathered serve as the foundation for the Return On Investment (ROI) analysis presented in this paper. They explored each customer's experience before and after the Cascade implementation. The change in users' experiences was then aggregated for the purposes of the ROI analysis.
