Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) is an autonomous collection of mobile devices which self organize to create a network by exploiting their wireless interfaces without a requirement for an existing infrastructure or any centralized administration. The routing protocol plays a vital role in establishing route between the mobile nodes and maintenance of the routes in these networks. All the nodes in an ad hoc network have to work mutually for executing the basic networking functions such as route discovery, route maintenance and multi-hop forwarding of packets. So, the network performance becomes highly dependent on collaboration of all the participating nodes.
