A Proxy Database is created using a set of proxy tables from all relational databases running for all domains for any organization/institution. Creating a proxy table, this is an alternative way of looking at the data in one or more tables from a relational database. Proxy table provides indirect access to the data in the actual table(s) of the database. Location transparency of the actual data is maintained by creating a proxy table. A proxy table will be mapped with the actual table(s) and view. A Schema for a proxy table resides in the Proxy Database but data resides in the actual database.
