An Acknowledgement Based Scheme to Defend Against Cooperative Black Hole Attacks in DSR Routing Protocol
Supporting video transmission over error-prone mobile ad-hoc networks is becoming increasingly important as these networks become more widely deployed. The authors propose a routing-aware multiple description video coding approach to support video transmission over mobile ad-hoc networks with multiple path transport. They build a statistical model to estimate the packet loss probability of each packet transmitted over the network based on the standard ad-hoc routing messages and network parameters. The mobile ad hoc networks are more prone to suffer from the malicious behaviors than the traditional wired networks. Therefore, it becomes very much necessary to pay more attention to the security issues in the mobile ad hoc networks.
