In this paper, the authors consider the problem of designing transmit and receive matrices in the constant MIMO interference channel. They propose a distributed interference alignment algorithm that aims at ensuring a minimum target signal to interference plus noise ratio at each stream of all the links in the system. Based on duality properties between the uplink and the downlink of the system, they proved the convergence of their algorithm. The performances of the proposed algorithm in terms of system sum-capacity is compared to the performances of existing IA algorithms and show that they can outperform the performances of minimum leakage IA algorithm at low SNR region.
