An Adaptive Rate Control Based QoS Provisioning in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
The Quality of Service in wireless ad hoc network is the collective effect of service performance which determines the degree of satisfaction of a user of a service. QoS is achieved by the proper network traffic engineering such as traffic classes, connection admission control, using policy managers, etc. Prioritized flow control is a type of QoS provisioning in which each class is provided a different QoS by assigning priority to one class over another in terms of allocating resources. The objective is to achieve a desired level of service to high-priority flows so that the wireless medium is completely utilized using adaptive rate control.
