An Automated Approach to Detect Deauthentication and Disassociation Dos Attacks on Wireless 802.11 Networks

Wireless networks are unlike wired when it comes to security factor, they are considered fundamentally insecure due to its nature of transmitting the data via radio waves and also the security design of WLAN structure exposed the medium to versatile attacks. This paper sheds the light particularly on the availability factor, in which the attacker tends to exploit certain design flaws in wireless layer two (MAC Layer) to disrupt the connection on the authenticated clients. This can be performed by sending forged deauthentication or disassociation packets using "IJAM" a customizable tool written in Python.
