An Enhanced Scheduling Scheme for QoS Guarantee using Channel State Information in WiMAX Networks
Providing QoS guarantees are becoming increasingly complex with the advancement in technology and the rapid deployment of WiMAX networks. This paper proposes an enhanced scheduling scheme to guarantee QoS in WiMAX networks. The scheduler designed for this purpose uses channel state information to schedule the traffic. The scheduler estimates the priority value for each connection in a multiple connection environment handling multiple service classes. This it does from the estimated channel state information. Thus the traffic with the highest priority estimated using channel state information is scheduled. The performance of the scheduler is estimated based on the throughput and delay.
