An Improved Reliable Router Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network
Recent advancement in wireless communication and microelectronic technology has enabled the deployment of large scale Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for event detection and environment monitoring. Failures of nodes or links are inevitable in sensor networks due to the harsh environment and hardware or software reasons. A fault-tolerant routing method of wireless sensor networks is presented in this paper. This reliable router algorithm depends on backup cluster-heads and adaptive re-clustering technique to tolerate the faults of cluster-heads and links. Meanwhile high reliability path as selected primary or backup path method is applied to improve the system reliability.
