A mathematical model based on Markov Chain is developed for the more realistic analysis of QoS parameters for the performance evaluation of IEEE 802.16 Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Networks. Because the Markov Chain basically involves state transition analysis, the probabilities for getting admission without degradation of QoS for both real as well as non-real time services can be accurately analyzed at the state level. The novelty of the work focuses on the integration of Call Admission Control (CAC) and Uplink Packet Scheduling (UPS) mechanism to identify quantitative measurement of some QoS parameters like delay, loss rate, throughput, connection acceptance probabilities and bandwidth utilisation of the system.
