Induction is a key concept in the teaching and learning of computer science and yet, students have difficulties understanding it. Educators have tried for decades to present proofs by induction to students in a way that facilitates understanding, and through the years some solutions have been proposed to mend the situation. However, little improvement has been achieved. Here, the authors new approach to teaching induction for computer science by way of interactive and multimodal software (e-book), which addresses some of the issues with the current methodologies of teaching induction.
