An Investigation Into Encrypted Message Hiding Through Images Using LSB
Data security has become a cause of concern because of the electronic spying especially in the military, government and many sectors of communication fields. This paper investigates a representation for embedding secure data within an image based on substitution method which gives the scope of large amount of secret message hiding within digital images. Specifically the authors used Least Significant Bit (LSB) substitution method to encrypt the message in image file. For improving the performance of LSB which is very simple by nature, they performed noise filtering at the beginning of the process to ensure noise-free data to be transmitted through the image.
