An Online Strategy Proof Mechanism for Dynamic Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Radios
With the ever-increasing and dramatic development of wireless networks and mobile technologies the scarcity of spectrum in the spectrum market has been a natural phenomenon over the last few years. The challenge is taken up in the cognitive radio technologies to alleviate this scarcity by managing and efficiently redistributing the spectrum held by the Primary Users to the Secondary Users according to the demand and without affecting the existing users. Several ideas are proposed to redistribute the spectrums. Out of these, one of the most obvious techniques is to redistribute the spectrums using the techniques of Double Auction (DA) where the Primary Users sell their available spectrum and the secondary users buy the service (spectrum) according to their need.
