An Optimized Threshold Based Fair Scheduling Scheme for Performance Enhancement of Multi User MIMO System
Medium Access Control (MAC) layer scheduling has a significant impact on the overall performance of a Multi User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) system. In this paper, an Optimized Threshold based Fair Scheduling (OTFS) for resource allocation is proposed. OTFS scheme schedule resources for multiuser downlink wireless systems where the base station and the mobile stations are equipped with multiple antennas. The goal of OTFS is to provide improved performance in terms of a low Bit Error Rate (BER), high Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and service fairness among the users. This scheme allocates resources to the multi users based on their requested BER.
