Analysis of IEEE802.11n Dual Radio Relay Network Topologies
In this paper, the authors present a performance analysis of several representative Dual-Radio Relay Network (DRRN) topologies. In their architecture, both access and backhaul links are constructed using IEEE802.11n radio interfaces operating in 2.4GHz band. They first investigate the effects of multi-hop and star relay configurations on aggregated client throughput performance. Then they study how Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) or received signal power may impact on DRRN's network coverage and capacity performance. The insights gained from this paper will provide a good reference for on how to design and deploy DRRN.
