The survivability of the network is closely related to the connectivity of the network. For many network applications such as a sensor network/ad hoc network for battlefield monitoring or wild fire tracking etc., survivability is one of most important requirements, and therefore a number of related problems are proposed. In this paper the authors study the survivability with respect to multicast route failure tolerance in K-connected MANET. The authors analyze the key issues namely connectivity, route failure tolerance and energy of the network.
