Business ethics has moved to the center stage of public scrutiny, even as regulators and the U.S. Congress call on Goldman Sachs and other investment banks to explain their involvement in the subprime mortgage market meltdown. At the same time, business schools are recognizing that the study of business ethics should include insights from behavioral science in order to understand such issues as the organizational impact of a leader's ethics, or the role of trust in the workplace.
